My Review:
5 out of 5
I have always loved animals and I have taught my children to do the same. So the glow-stone series are perfect for me. Not only are they enjoyable stories that my children love, but they are also educational and informative. These stories teach our children to love and look after nature and I LOVE that.
This story is particularly poignant, addressing the very real concern of litter on our beaches and in our water. Nick does a fantastic job of showing this problem to our children and making them understand the problem and why this is a problem, i.e. how it affects the wildlife. Furthermore, he goes onto teach them how we can fix this problem, showing our children that we all have to play our part in keeping our world clean and safe for our animals.
Nick educates our children in this problem through an interesting story with characters that are relatable. He has created a world my children absolutely love to be a part of… I think they now want their own glow-stone.
Highly recommend this story for any child aged 5 and up, the writing may not be complex enough for the older children, BUT the moral of the story will surely keep them entertained until the end, they will want to see the happy ending.
I highly recommend this book as an educational story that children will love to re-read time and time again.
Perfect for children (I’d give an age range of 4-12) who enjoy:
- Funny Tales
- Stories about animals and the environment
- Relatable and funny characters
- Colourful and adorable pictures
My ratings:
- Easy to read: 5 out of 5
- Characters: 5 out of 5
- Story idea: 5 out of 5
- Length: 5 out of 5
- Overall: 5 out of 5
